Frequently asked questions

These answers describe the current Proclethya 1.1.0 release.

What is Proclethya?

Proclethya 1.1.0 is a performance-focused software synthesizer by Dymai Sound for Windows and macOS. It combines dual oscillators, sub and noise layers, seven filter modes, modulation, an arpeggiator, built-in effects and 252 presets.

Which plugin formats does Proclethya support?

On Windows 10 and 11, Proclethya is a 64-bit VST3 plugin for Intel and AMD systems. On macOS, it is supplied as Audio Unit and VST3 in a universal Apple silicon and Intel build.

Does Proclethya run natively on Apple silicon?

Yes. The macOS installer contains a universal build for Apple silicon and Intel Macs in both Audio Unit and VST3 formats.

Does Proclethya support VST2, AAX or Linux?

No. The current Proclethya 1.1.0 release supports VST3 on Windows and Audio Unit or VST3 on macOS. It does not include VST2, AAX or Linux builds.

Which DAWs can host Proclethya?

Proclethya requires a 64-bit DAW that supports VST3 on Windows or Audio Unit or VST3 on macOS. Compatibility depends on the DAW version and its plugin-scanning configuration.

What are the Proclethya demo limitations?

The free demo exposes the synth engine, controls, presets and soundbanks. While unregistered, it plays a periodic reminder, so the demo is intended for evaluation rather than finished production.

How many presets are included with Proclethya?

Proclethya 1.1.0 includes 252 presets across four banks: Factory with 96, Technoport with 65, Wavestorm with 51 and Plastika with 40.

How does the Proclethya license work?

A Proclethya license costs $49.99 as a one-time payment. It removes the demo reminder, can be used on the buyer's own machines and includes future 1.x updates without a subscription.

Is Proclethya open source?

The Proclethya synthesizer source code is available under GPL v3.0. The included preset files may be used in commercial music productions but may not be redistributed separately.

Will presets from older Proclethya versions sound identical in version 1.1.0?

Not always. Presets designed for previous versions may sound different in Proclethya 1.1.0 because of underlying architecture changes.
